Dayo Olomu Launches Project 1000 in Lagos
Dayo Olomu , Africa's No 1 Motivational Speaker & Human Capital Development Expert in the UK last Saturday 2,April 2016 launched project 1000 at the Soni Irabor Youth Empowerment Forum which took place at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
The iconic global brand whose audio CD "You Got The Power" was sent to 180 countries in 2009 launched Project 1000 for Dayo Olomu Foundation (DOF) in which 1000 Nigerians in Diaspora will mentor 1000 youths based in Nigeria on employability and entrepreneurial skills as part of DOF's contribution to move Nigeria forward. The opportunity was offered to the 1000 youths who attended the Soni Irabor Youth Empowerment Forum at Oriental Hotel where he was a keynote speaker.
Before the age of 50 Dayo Olomu relocated to UK in the mid 90s, he was a showbiz impresario in Nigeria who became the youngest promotions manager in the country at 26 years old and by 27 years he became one of the most successful artiste managers in the country.
When he turned 40 in 2005, all the top Nigerian musicians in UK led by Diya Ojo waxed an album in his honour. This big honour has never been bestowed on any Nigerian in Diaspora dead or living.
Dayo Olomu , who was named in 2015 as one of the 10 Most Powerful men in London, has received many awards including wining the Leadership Award category at both the Gathering of Africa’s Best Awards and BEFFTA Awards. He recently won the Black Enterprise (BE) Mogul Award and featured in the maiden edition of BE Mogul, a new annual publication that celebrates and recognises most influential and inspirational black business owners in Britain today.
