Dangote Battles Edo Community Over Limestone Deposit.

Indegenes of Okpella Community in Edo State southsouth Nigeria has alleged that the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Of Dangote cement ,Alhaji Aliko Dangote is threatening to forcefully take over a limestone deposit in their  community .

According to a petition sent  by the Okpella Traditional Council to the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria and published in a national daily ,Alhaji (Dr) J.A.Y.E Dirisu ,the Okuokpellagbe of Okpella  who signed  on behalf of the community,they( the community) alleged that Dangote through the present ruler of Okene Ebira - Alhaji Ado Ibrahim  and his company AICO Ado Ibrahim &Company limited (AICO)  is pursuing a selfish economic interest to destroy BUA Cement whose cement factory is to be commissioned in June in Okpella Edo State.

Dirisu said that the desperation of Dangote Cement to frustrate the commissioning of BUA Cement is about to ignite an unprecedented violence and mayhem  between the two communities of Okpella and Ebira as AICO and Dangote are planning to invade Okpella community with fully armed vigilante group'and men as evident by leaked mails and correspondence'wherein staffs of Dangote Cement and AICO were exchanging mails on how to distribute guns and invade Okpella among other things'.

He said that twice last year and sometimes this year the two of them that is Dangote Cement and AICO have assembled  native army of Ebira youths and armed them to the teeth with  guns and weapons to invade and attempt to take over  a large chunks of the territory of Okpella in Edo state   over which Edo Cement company limited and BUA cement have legally acquired.

The community however call on the Federal government to constitutionally resolve the issue to avert blood shed.

Copies of the petition were also sent to the Inspector General of Police,Governors of Edo,Kogi,the Director General S.S.S and the Hon Minister For Mines and steel Development,Abuja.

All attempt to speak with Dangote's spokes person proof abortive as he did not pick his calls.

Kasamu May Escape Extradition.

Buruj Kasamu May Escape Extradition.

The Ogun state Senate elect Buruj Kasamu who is currently under house arrest following a siege by the National  Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) may escape extradition to the United States of America.
The NDLEA had laid siege on the Lekki home of Kasamu on  the allegation that he is being wanted in USA for a drug related offence.
But a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos this afternoon ordered the 50 NDLEA operatives who have been keeping vigil at the residence of Kasamu since Saturday to vacate his compound.
Justice Ibrahim Buba said that the action of the NDLEA is subjudice.
If by tomorrow the ruling of the court is adhere to by the government agency he (Kasamu) may escape arrest and extradition to to the USA.
Investigations revealed that while his residence was under siege Kasamu have been  contacting friends and business partners who have been in touch with some powerful Nigerians to ensure that Kasamu is left off the hook.
Meanwhile if Kasamu escapes arrest he might be sworn as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If Ptng findings are anything to go by then one of the players in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Bode George may be on the run.

Investigations revealed that George who had threatened to go to exile if the All Progressive Congress (APC) won the presidential election suddenly disappear from national relevance and he neither comment nor speak on national  issues  .

Investigation further revealed that the PDP elder tactically travelled to the UK unannounced on the excuse that he was travelling to see his grandchild .

A source close to Bode George told Ptng that he (George) travelled to the UK to avoid being caught unawares by the wind of charge that may occur after the swearing in of General Muhammed Buhari.

The question is has Chief Bode George embarked on self exile as threatened by him or not.

KSA Manager ,Sunny Wonder Buried.

The remains of singer,activist and manager to the King of World beat,Otunba Sunday Ishola Adeniyi Adegeye aka King Sunny Ade,Sunday Abayomi aka Sunny Wonder will be buried at Ido Ani ,Ondo State today.
The burial ceremony commenced yesterday at his Aboru,Iyana Ipaja,Lagos southwest,Nigeria with a Christian wake .
The short service was attended by music stars like Yinka Best,Tunde Samson,Segun Nabi,Champion Kunle Opio, music prudecers Julie King ,Dipo formerly of Ivory music and others.
As at the time of filling this report,Sunny Wonder's remains which has been deposited at a private mortuary since Thursday 23,April 2015 when he died is on its way to Ido Ani ,Ondo State where it will be buried .

Petrol Sold For 120 Naira Per Litre In Lagos.

As the fuel scarcity bites harder in Lagos ,petrol stations have started selling the product at between 100 to 120 naira a litre.

Investigation revealed that petrol stations through their attendants have resort to hoarding to make it look as if the product is scarce.

Investigation further revealed that most of the petrol stations sells from one ortwo of their pumps so as to make it look as if they have little or no petrol.

Ptng learned that black market booms in most of the petrol stations as the station's attendants engage the service of area boys to help them sell to desperate buyers.

Apart from the black market the attendants also collects between 50 to 100 naira from customers depending on the number of litres bought.
