Indegenes of Okpella Community in Edo State southsouth Nigeria has alleged that the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Of Dangote cement ,Alhaji Aliko Dangote is threatening to forcefully take over a limestone deposit in their  community .

According to a petition sent  by the Okpella Traditional Council to the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria and published in a national daily ,Alhaji (Dr) J.A.Y.E Dirisu ,the Okuokpellagbe of Okpella  who signed  on behalf of the community, they( the community) alleged that Dangote through the present ruler of Okene Ebira - Alhaji Ado Ibrahim  and his company AICO Ado Ibrahim &Company limited (AICO)  is pursuing a selfish economic interest to destroy BUA Cement whose cement factory is to be commissioned in June in Okpella Edo State.

Dirisu said that the desperation of Dangote Cement to frustrate the commissioning of BUA Cement is about to ignite an unprecedented violence and mayhem  between the two communities of Okpella and Ebira as AICO and Dangote are planning to invade Okpella community with fully armed vigilante group'and men as evident by leaked mails and correspondence'wherein staffs of Dangote Cement and AICO were exchanging mails on how to distribute guns and invade Okpella among other things'.

He said that twice last year and sometimes this year the two of them that is Dangote Cement and AICO have assembled  native army of Ebira youths and armed them to the teeth with  guns and weapons to invade and attempt to take over  a large chunks of the territory of Okpella in Edo state   over which Edo Cement company limited and BUA cement have legally acquired.

The community however call on the Federal government to constitutionally resolve the issue to avert blood shed.

All attempt to speak with Dangote's spokes person proof abortive as he did not pick his calls.
